First Reconciliation
First Reconciliation will be happening in Term 1, 2023. To make their First Reconciliation, children must be in Year 3 and above in 2023 and must be Baptised in the Catholic faith.

For state/independent school students, there will be 3 lessons held over 3 consecutive weeks in March.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be held on the week starting 27th March, 2023.

(First Confession) 2023
This year candidates, will need to be in Year 3 or above to receive their sacrament. They must be baptised in the Catholic faith and attend Mass regularly with their family. If they were not baptised at St Michael’s Church in Lane Cove, a copy of their baptism certificate should be submitted at enrolment.
PARENT INFORMATION SESSION
This will be held on Tuesday 7th March from 7 to 8pm in the Parish Church. This will be for both First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
FIRST RECONCILIATION DATES
First Reconciliation will take place at St Michael’s Church, the week starting 27th March 2023. The exact dates and times are to be advised. St Michael’s Primary School students will receive their sacrament during school hours and children from other schools will be able to nominate a time when they enrol into the sacrament using the link provided.
PRESENTATION MASSES
This is not applicable for First Reconciliation.
LESSON PREPARATION
All candidates, who are from state or independent schools, will prepare for their First Reconciliation with a series of online lessons & quizzes as well as 3 parish activities which will be held over 3 consecutive Sundays, 12th – 26th March 2023.
ENROLMENT
Enrolments will open mid-February, via the Parish website. A copy of the child’s baptism certificate should be uploaded with the form or sent to the Parish office at the time of enrolment.
