Vinnies Van Outreach Project

Our teams will serve residents at Greenway Towers social housing in Kirribilli. Vinnies supplies the van and our Parish supplies sandwiches and the volunteers who make up our Teams.

What’s required of our Team members?

Each Team is comprised of 8 members with varying roles:

  • 1 x Team Leader member
  • 1 x Driver member (C class licence)
  • 4 x Team members
  • 2 x Food preparation members

The Team commitment is once every six weeks. St Michael’s teams will go out on the first or third Thursday of the month. The van run will depart St Michael’s Parish Hall at 6.30 pm returning by 8.30 pm. The food prep members work earlier in the day at the Parish Hall kitchen to have the sandwiches ready by 6 pm. The Team Leader and Driver pick up the Vinnies Van from West Ryde and return it after the run. They volunteer for app. 4 hours, while other members for 2 hours.

Members will be given a User Guide with links to complete Safeguarding requirements.
